There are many different factors that may cause a migraine attack, including family history, aging, stress, alcohol consumption and even medication. Of course to a degree, medication can be fairly effective but it does not always work and the affects of a migraine can be severely debilitating and may well affect your life and work patterns. If we knew what triggers a migraine attack, obviously we would take steps to avoid it but where an attack does take place research has shown that massage therapy can effectively help to treat both headaches and migraines.
Massage is normally the manipulation of the soft tissues in the body but in traditional Thai massage that goes a bit further and includes a stretching of the muscles and joints.
I have years of experience in traditional Thai massage and many other forms of massage having qualified at the famous Wot Po School of Massage in Thailand and following that up by qualifying in many other techniques both in Thailand and here in the UK.
If you are one of the unfortunate people that tend to suffer from headaches, including migraines, give me a call and try it out for yourself!
